Web sites you can manage. Rates you can afford.
Rorschach Training Programs
Before our redesign of rorschachtraining.com, the site’s owners were handling registrations for their seminars and taking orders for their books and DVDs by fax. We created an online store that eliminated all that paperwork.
Meridian Stories is a series of digital storytelling competitions for schools in the US. Each competition challenges teams of students to create short-form stories using images, words, video and music. Some key features of the project include implementation of a subscription/premium content system and a process for accepting video uploads, making the submissions available for the judges and then posting them to the site.
A site with a different approach to beauty and skin care, NotPasty.com attempts to empower women and teens to see the ridiculousness in the idea that we should all be one shade of brown. Site founder Jen Adkins – the skin care guide on About.com – wants women to stop putting themselves in harm’s way by tanning or lightening to achieve some silly idea of beauty.
A new auto blog specializing in “cars for the rest of us,” Clunker Nation is the work of Craig Fitzgerald, a former editor of Hemmings Sports & Exotic Car and a frequent contributor to the Boston Globe, Boston.com, BoldRide.com and many other outlets.
Here’s what he had to say about the project:
I contacted Charlie after he had built an ecommerce site for the New England Motor Press Association. I had an idea of what I wanted my site to be, but I had no way to execute it. Charlie quoted me a very reasonable price, and performed the work well ahead of schedule. Since then, he’s been a great source of advice and assistance. I couldn’t be happier.– Craig Fitzgerald, ClunkerNation.com
Guilford Community Fund
Another example of our work with non-profit agencies, we built the web site for the Guilford Community Fund — a charitable organization that raises funds and distributes them to a wide range of worthy causes in Guilford, Connecticut.
The site was recently re-launched with a fresh new design that includes photos from around the historic town, and in which every one of the charities supported by the fund has its own destination page.
The site allows Guilford Community Fund to accept donations via credit/debit card for the first time, using PayPal.
Charlie’s creativity and expertise produced a website that not only expands awareness of our organization but also enhanced our fundraising efforts by streamlining our donation process. He efficiently created a website beyond our expectations.
– Christine Fappiano, President, Guilford Community Fund
A fresh new look for Setanta Machinery, complete with new corporate logo and lots of photo and video showing heavy equipment in action.
Several of my clients came to me needing help with web sites that they didn’t have the ability — or the access — to maintain. That’s not what ctzdesign is about. I build web sites you can maintain and charge rates you can afford. You won’t need to call me every time you need to make a change. I aim to make updating your site as easy as writing an e-mail. I’ve even created a separate website with instructions for some of the most common tasks you may want to tackle.
Of course, if you’d like the additional support, I’m happy to provide rates for ongoing maintenance, site updates, even hosting. I can help you connect your site to Facebook or Twitter, or to leverage Instagram or Pinterest to help you find customers. Tell me what you need, and I can come up with a solution.
I don’t believe in “re-inventing the wheel.” For many businesses, it’s possible to put together a very professional-looking site using a basic template and the logo from a business card. But if you need something more specific custom-built to meet your needs or an artist to help with logos and look-and-feel, I have a large network of talented providers and can serve as your general contractor for any work I don’t handle personally.
Kind words from clients and customers:
Our site was a successful product of the collaborative dialogue we maintained throughout its development. Charlie organized the site efficiently and coded it so that updates are made with a minimum of effort. – Brian Burke, dasllc.com
It’s a real pleasure to work with someone of Charlie’s integrity, reliability and skills. – Jessica Weil, celebritybrideguide.com
(Charlie) is responsive, skilled and generous and he combines his technical expertise and savvy with a keen ability to educate those of us who are less literate in the ways of the internet world. – Suzi Pomerantz, suzipomerantz.com
